If you are coming along to watch the Canterbury Magicians and Kings take on the Auckland Hearts and Aces tomorrow here is everything you will need to know, to make sure you have a great time!

First Ball of each match is

🏏Canterbury Magicians vs Auckland Hearts, 2.10pm

ENTRY

Gates open at 1.10pm with General Admission access via Gate A by St Albans Cricket Club. Hagley Oval Pavilion Club Members, Guests and Boundary Club access via Gate D which is up the driveway to the Hadlee Pavilion. Please ensure you are accessing the venue via the correct gate to avoid any delays.

Box Office will be open from 1.10pm for general admission gate sales.  

Ticketing options for online purchases include

• General Admission on the grass embankment
• Boundary Club. A Miles Group Members Lounge Experience with some food and beverage included.

PARKING

There is no general admission carparking on site. Limited onsite mobility carparking may be available but needs to be requested and is on a first come, first serve basis. Additional limited public mobility carparking is available by Gate A and is also on a first come, first serve basis. There is on street parking surrounding the park along Riccarton Ave, Deans Ave and Hagley Ave as well as paid parking option at Tu Waka Waipapa which is situated by Hagley College.

 

FOOD AND DRINK

A range of vendors will be available for food and beverage purchases. You can bring in your own non commercial food intended for personal consumption but please leave any knives including cheese knives, glassware and glass bottles. You can bring in non opened sealed bottles up to 1.5 litres but these will be opened at the gate. Empty plastic / drinks bottles are also OK and can be filled at the water stations in venue.  Strictly no alcohol to be brought into the venue so leave that at home. 

 

SEATING

Deck Chairs are OK but please check the venue terms and conditions of entry to ensure they comply. We also ask that full height chairs are used at the top of the embankment only ensuring you don’t impede the view of others. You are welcome to bring low lying beach chairs for the other areas of the embankment. 

 

SMOKING

Hagley Oval is a smoke and vape free venue. 

 

SAFETY

For your safety when visiting, a reminder that it is not uncommon for the cricket ball to be hit into areas where fans are. Please stay safe by keeping your eye on the ball and remind your friends and family to do the same.
