Hagley Oval event at The Oval

On Thursday 27 June we held an event at the Kia Oval profiling the many new initiatives & developments at Hagley Oval. This event was attended by our Chair Lee Robinson MNZM, Canterbury Cricket’s Jeremy Curwin, CECC CEO Leann Watson, NZC Board Member Geoff Allott, along with Blackcaps coach Gary Stead & some of his staff along with Blackcaps opener Martin Guptill. It was an entertaining function & attended by guests who share our passion for cricket & the future success of Hagley Oval as a preferred cricketing venue for generations to come.

Hagley Oval Embankment Low-Rise Seating

Will you be attending the NZ v ENGLAND ODI match at Hagley Oval on 10 March 2018? If you are thinking about your seating for the embankment we would like to advise that ‘Sand chairs’, the low rise seats often used at the beach are permitted at Hagley Oval but the maximum height of the seat should be no more than 15cm from the ground. These seats can be used for seating on the slope of the Embankment. Anything higher can only be used on the top flat of the Embankment or other areas that may be provided for higher chairs…

History of Women in New Zealand Cricket to be Told in New Project

A project to publish, for the first time, a comprehensive history of women in New Zealand cricket is to be launched at the WHITE FERNS third ODI against the West Indies on March 11. The book is a long-term project, with publication due ahead of the 2021 Women’s Cricket World Cup to be hosted by New Zealand. Pitch perfect for Hagley Oval turf management team
