Ready, set, go! We are all set to host yet another stella summer of international cricket here at Hagley Oval.

It is no secret that Hagley Oval has proven itself on the world stage. Hagley Oval is widely renowned as one of New Zealand’s premier and picturesque cricket venues, and favorited amongst local and international players and fans. This schedule announcement reinforces Hagley Oval’s position as the number one ground in New Zealand.

Last year provided one of our busiest summers to date and we are super excited to do it all again, including hosting cricketing giants – INDIA!

NZC Chief Marketing & Commercial Officer, Glenn Critchley had this to say:
“When it comes to cricket – it simply doesn’t get bigger than India and we’re determined to deliver New Zealanders a tour like no other.”

The India tour is set to highlight 100 Years of NZ and India Unity through Sport celebrations alongside Govt, Sport NZ and other sports. The wider sporting and cultural significance of this, alongside the energy of India cricket and their fans will make this a tour you won’t want to miss.

Ish Sodhi, the BLACKCAPS leading T20I wicket-taker can’t wait to get stuck in.
“It’s always a special occasion playing India. They’re an unbelievable cricket team, full of talent and star power – you know every time you face them it’s going to be seriously challenging.”
