As part of this commitment, our Play it Forward – Giving Programme invites individuals, organisations, and charities to apply for support through in-kind contributions. Each year, we donate a range of items and experiences – such as memorabilia, event tickets, and hospitality packages – to help raise funds through raffles, auctions, and prize draws.

Who We Work With

At the heart of our operations is the Hagley Oval Stakeholders (HOS) Group – a collaborative network made up of Canterbury Cricket Trust, Canterbury Cricket Association, Christchurch City Council, ChristchurchNZ, and Venues Ōtautahi. Each organisation has its own role and responsibility for Hagley Oval from owning and maintaining the facilities, managing the Hagley Oval brand, delivering the actual cricket played on the Oval, guardians of the actual land and maintaining the grounds, promoting the city for International fixtures and finally being the Venue operators and running the Venue for events.
 
Together, we work to ensure Hagley Oval is competitive and successful in competing against other NZ venues for top tier content each season and work to deliver outstanding experiences for players, fans, and the wider community.
 
We’re also proud to work alongside cricketing bodies such as the Christchurch Metropolitan Cricket Association (CMCA), Canterbury Junior Cricket Association (CJCA), and New Zealand Cricket (NZC) – supporting the game at every level from grassroots to the international stage. Through these partnerships, we help provide meaningful opportunities for grassroots cricket – including club, junior, and school teams – to experience playing on one of New Zealand’s premier cricket grounds. Our collaboration with CMCA and CJCA helps nurture the next generation of players and ensure Hagley Oval is a venue that belongs to the wider cricketing community.
