Coming to Hagley Oval or one of the surrounding Precinct grounds? We’re located in the heart of Christchurch, within the iconic Hagley Park. Just a short walk from the central city and easily accessible via public transport, Hagley Oval sits alongside well-known landmarks such as the Christchurch Botanic Gardens and Christchurch Public Hospital.

Whether you’re heading to an International match or school game, a holiday programme at the Sports Centre, simply exploring the grounds or locating the Precinct amenities, you’ll find us nestled between Riccarton Avenue and Rolleston Avenue.

In addition to Hagley Oval, the wider Precinct includes several grounds used for training, community, club and junior matches, festival cricket and events. These grounds – Nursery, Polo, Christ College and Hagley Corner, are all located within the South Hagley Park area and are just a short stroll from the main Hagley Oval.

Precinct Facilites

Hagley Oval is open to everyone — whether you’re here for a match, a stroll, or a coffee catch-up. The precinct offers accessible pathways, wheelchair-friendly seating, mobility parking, and support for companion animals.

Public toilets and accessible washrooms are available across the site, and an AED (defibrillator) is located at the Sir Richard Hadlee Sports Centre for emergency use.
