Plunket Shield Clash From 28th February to 3rd March 2026, Hagley Oval will host the Canterbury Kings as they face the Otago Volts in a Plunket Shield clash. First ball is at 10:30 AM each day. This four-day, non-ticketed match is a perfect chance to watch top domestic cricket unfold and cheer on the Canterbury Kings in their quest for victory. Experience the skill, strategy, and excitement of first-class cricket at one of New Zealand’s premier cricket grounds.

Hagley Oval 5th March 2026, Hagley Oval plays host to the Final of the Over 70’s Cricket World Cup being played in Christchurch from the 17th February. The tournament will be played on grounds around Christchurch and surrounding districts and welcomes 7 visiting teams from around the world. The final will be played against the top two qualifying teams after pool play. First ball will be 10am This match is being live streamed.
